Job Description

Medical Aesthetics & Wellness Practice | Mill Creek, WA 3-4 Ten-Hour Shifts Per Week | In-Person Are you a Medical Assistant who enjoys variety, organization, patient interaction and being an important part of keeping a medical practice running smoothly? We are looking for a highly organized, proactive and personable Medical Assistant to join our growing medical aesthetics and wellness practice. This is a unique hybrid position combining clinical support, medication and inventory management, administrative responsibilities and patient-facing/front desk support. This is not a traditional Medical Assistant role where every day looks exactly the same. We are looking for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, notices what needs to be done without always being asked and communicates exceptionally well with providers, management and the rest of the team. The Role Our goal is to have two Medical Assistants who share responsibility for this position , with one MA generally scheduled each shift. The Medical Assistants will typically work separate days while following the same systems and communicating closely to ensure seamless handoffs between shifts. The position is expected to be approximately 3-4 ten-hour shifts per week . Exact days are still being finalized and may follow a rotating Week A/Week B schedule. Clinical & Provider Support Responsibilities may include: Supporting Nurse Practitioners and other medical providers throughout the day Assisting with lab draws and related clinical workflows Preparing medications and supplies for providers Maintaining medication, injectable and supply organization Completing and documenting required temperature logs Preparing Good Faith Exams and other clinical items needed for the following shift Managing electronic patient consents and ensuring required documentation is complete Preparing superbills and Letters of Medical Necessity Assisting with Puracyn preparation and related in-office clinical needs Supporting prescription and e-prescribing workflows when appropriate and within the scope of the position Communicating clearly with Nurse Practitioners and management regarding outstanding patient, medication or clinical needs Inventory, Medication & Ordering Support A major part of this position is helping ensure the practice stays organized and appropriately stocked.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring medication, injectable and medical supply inventory Identifying medications and supplies that are running low before they become urgent Preparing and coordinating medication and supply orders Assisting with receiving and organizing orders Maintaining accurate inventory systems Communicating upcoming ordering needs with the Nurse Practitioners and Practice Manager Helping prevent unnecessary overstock, shortages and expired inventory Maintaining organized medication and supply areas Ensuring important information is clearly handed off to the Medical Assistant working the next shift Administrative & Patient Support Because we operate as a collaborative team, our Medical Assistants are also cross-trained to understand and support front desk operations.
Responsibilities may include:
Monitoring and assisting with failed or outstanding payments Supporting front desk staff during busy periods or when additional coverage is needed Understanding the services and treatments offered by the practice Confidently explaining general service information to clients Scheduling and rescheduling appointments Checking clients in and out Assisting with basic patient intake Understanding general scheduling requirements and patient workflows Answering phones and assisting with client questions when needed Helping maintain a smooth, welcoming patient experience throughout the practice What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is: A Medical Assistant with strong clinical and administrative skills Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented Proactive and able to recognize what needs attention Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities and priorities A strong communicator who provides clear updates and handoffs Comfortable communicating directly with Nurse Practitioners and management Confident interacting with patients and clients Comfortable with computers, electronic medical records and learning new systems Able to work independently while remaining highly collaborative Reliable and consistent Interested in medical aesthetics, wellness and modern patient care Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where responsibilities may change throughout the day Experience in medical aesthetics, wellness, functional medicine, hormone therapy, medical weight management, injectables or a specialty medical practice is highly valued but not necessarily required for the right candidate. Schedule Approximately 3-4 ten-hour shifts per week . We anticipate utilizing a rotating Week A/Week B schedule , with one Medical Assistant scheduled per shift. Exact days are currently being finalized and will be discussed during the interview process. Why Join Us? Do you currently hold an active Medical Assistant credential in Washington State? 2. Do you have experience with blood draws/phlebotomy? 3. Do you have experience preparing medications or assisting providers with medication-related clinical workflows? 4. Do you have experience managing or assisting with medical supply, medication, or injectable inventory and ordering? 5. Are you comfortable performing both clinical and administrative duties, including supporting front desk operations, scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, and answering patient questions? 6. Are you comfortable working approximately 3-4 ten-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule? 7. Please briefly describe your experience working directly with medical providers and managing administrative or clinical tasks independently. 8. Do you have experience working in medical aesthetics, wellness, functional medicine, hormone therapy, or medical weight management? If yes, please briefly describe your experience.
