Medical Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information. Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures. Perform basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection, injections, wound care, and medication administration as permitted by state regulations. Schedule appointments, maintain patient records, and perform other administrative duties as needed. Educate patients on medications, treatments, and follow-up care instructions. Ensure examination rooms, equipment, and supplies are clean, organized, and properly stocked. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. Follow infection control practices, safety protocols, and facility policies. Minimum Qualifications Current, valid, and unrestricted Washington license/certification in good standing, as required for the position. Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a MA within the last 3 years. Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
