Job Description
Job Overview We would LOVE to hire a true professional who is pleasant, competent, and efficient with Medical Assistant skills, and has a solid work ethic, to join our podiatric (foot and ankle specialty) team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring that our clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. The Medical Assistant will support, if not assist our surgeons and nurse practitioners, with various medical scenarios such as new patient evaluations, in office procedures, durable medical equipment scanning and fitting, casting, removal of stitches and other fixures related to foot and ankle surgeries while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort. Duties Assist with patient intake, including chart preparation, rooming, recording medical histories and daily activities of the patient Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed. Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health systems. Support providers during examinations and minor surgical procedures. Educate patients on medication administration, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards within the clinic. Handle emergency situations effectively, demonstrating competence and composure. Requirements A solid employment history, with longevity at previous positions. Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures related to various specialties Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction and education. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while managing multiple tasks efficiently. A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Schedule for position is Mon 12-5 Tue 7:30-12 Wed alternates 7:30-12 and 12-5 Thur 8-12, or less if not needed for admin time Fri 7:30-12 Join us in making a difference in the lives of our patients through dedicated service and professional excellence.
