Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to physicians and healthcare providers by assisting with patient care, administrative tasks, and clinical procedures. Your passion and commitment will help ensure smooth clinic operations, exceptional patient experiences, and high-quality medical services. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, willing to learn and passionate about delivering outstanding patient service. Duties Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers during patient visits by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing necessary supplies. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, treatment plans, and ICD coding for diagnoses. Assist with patient intake processes, including verifying insurance information, updating medical records, and explaining procedures to patients. Maintain medical supplies inventory, and ensure compliance with safety protocols in accordance with healthcare standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless communication regarding patient care plans. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program preferred. Proven experience in a medical office environment or clinical setting; experience in dermatology or hospital medicine is highly desirable. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and EMR/EHR management tools essential for accurate documentation. Knowledge of ICD coding standards and medical terminology for precise record-keeping and billing processes. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology principles and their application in patient care. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations including geriatrics or trauma patients. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments. Demonstrated organizational skills for managing medical records, intake procedures, vital signs collection, and medical documentation tasks effectively. Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
