Medical Assistant (MA)

Shift Details:
8a-430p Mon-Fri; no weekends or holidays
Medical Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
Obtains and documents patient vital signs and reports abnormal findings to the RN or provider. Rooms patients, manages patient flow, and supports efficient clinic operations. Administers vaccines and IM/SubQ medications as ordered. Performs point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and phlebotomy. Assists physicians, PAs, and NPs with examinations, procedures, and treatments. Prepares exam rooms and instruments for examinations and minor procedures. Performs wound care, dressing changes, ear lavages, ECGs, peak flow testing, and other ordered procedures. Accurately documents patient care, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current license as an RN in the state of WI High School diploma or equivalent American Heart Association BLS, for Health Care Providers Certified Medical Assistant through American Associate of Medical Assistants (AAMA) if required by client. If CMA is required by client , verification will be completed through AAMA. Minimum of one (1) year related work experience within the last 3 years Additional certifications may be required. Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required. Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .
BLS, N95
fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements ) .
