Part-Time Medical Assistant -
Nephrology Practice Location:
Wheeling, WV Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday | 8:00 AM - 3:30
PM Pay:
Based off experience Join Our Team! Our busy, well-established nephrology practice in Wheeling, WV is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced medical office and is committed to providing outstanding patient care. This is a part-time position offering a consistent daytime schedule, Paid Time Off (PTO) , and a 401(k) -retirement plan. Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs Update medical histories, medications, and allergies Prepare patients for provider examinations Administer injections as directed by the provider Assist the physician during office visits Document patient information accurately using the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments Answer patient phone calls and assist with scheduling Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and stocked medical supplies Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control guidelines Qualifications Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred, but experienced candidates will be considered Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience preferred Experience with Epic EMR preferred Experience in nephrology, internal medicine, or primary care is a plus Injection experience is required Phlebotomy experience is not required Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Professional, reliable, and compassionate with a positive attitude Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Plan No evenings or weekends Stable, part-time daytime schedule Friendly, supportive, team-oriented work environment Why Join Us?
