codes for patients receiving our services while correctly assigning APCs for all patients to assure accurate reimbursement and the highest quality data possible. You will abstract all coded data in a timely and accurate manner into the abstracting system.

Salary Range:

$47.60/hourly - $62.78/hourly Pay range: $50.48 - $66.58 an hour Qualifications We're seeking an independent, detail-oriented, self-directed individual with: Associate degree in health information science, Bachelor's degree in health information management, or completion of courses in ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding COC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P certification, required Three or more years of experience with surgical procedural and ambulatory care coding Three or more years of experience as an outpatient coder, acute care hospital experience preferred Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS and modifier usage Knowledge of APC payment methodologies, AHA Coding Clinic, and CPT Assistant COC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P certification, required Ability to orient and train new employees and students Understanding of all state and national reporting requirements Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritizing skills Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and 3M 360 Encompass software
