Responsibilities Assign accurate ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes for diagnoses and procedures in accordance with medical coding guidelines Utilize CPT and HCPCS coding systems for outpatient and inpatient services Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems for billing, coding, and medical record abstraction Ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations and other payer requirements Review medical records thoroughly to verify documentation accuracy and completeness Collaborate with billing departments to facilitate timely claims submission and follow-up on unpaid or denied claims Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines to ensure precise coding practices Skills Proficiency in
