Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Certified Professional Coder to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will ensure accurate medical coding and billing processes, supporting efficient revenue cycle management. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with industry standards and optimize reimbursement for our healthcare services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a reputable organization committed to patient-centered care. Responsibilities Assign accurate ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes for diagnoses and procedures in accordance with medical coding guidelines Utilize CPT and HCPCS coding systems for outpatient and inpatient services Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems for billing, coding, and medical record abstraction Ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations and other payer requirements Review medical records thoroughly to verify documentation accuracy and completeness Collaborate with billing departments to facilitate timely claims submission and follow-up on unpaid or denied claims Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines to ensure precise coding practices Skills Proficiency in
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS
coding systems, and medical coding software Strong understanding of medical billing, collections, and revenue cycle management processes Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and electronic health record (EHR) management for billing and coding purposes Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical record abstraction techniques Familiarity with CMS regulations and guidelines for inpatient services coding Ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team Join us as a Certified Professional Coder and play a crucial role in supporting our mission to provide outstanding urological care through precise coding practices.
