Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Certified Medical Coder to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of medical coding standards and billing procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and reimbursement for services rendered. This role involves interpreting medical records, applying coding guidelines, and supporting revenue cycle management to optimize operational efficiency. Duties Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG codes in compliance with CMS guidelines. Ensure accurate coding for outpatient services to facilitate correct billing and reimbursement processes. Utilize medical coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems to abstract data, manage records, and support billing operations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines to ensure precise code assignment. Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing teams to resolve discrepancies and improve documentation accuracy. Conduct audits of coded records to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Support the revenue cycle management process by ensuring timely and accurate coding for all patient encounters. Requirements 3 to 5 years Medical Coding experience. Must possess current

AAPC CPC

certification. Proficiency with

ICD-10, CPT

coding systems, as well as HCPCS codes used in healthcare billing. Strong understanding of electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical coding software tools. Knowledge of CMS regulations and guidelines governing medical coding and billing practices. Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding for diverse clinical specialties. Experience working within a healthcare setting with a focus on revenue cycle management is preferred.
