The ideal candidate will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining pathways between Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to ensure seamless and accurate transfer of patient information. This role requires a thorough understanding of medical coding standards, insurance requirements, and healthcare regulations.

https://unitedionm.com/ Responsibilities Review and code medical procedures and services based on medical records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to coding standards such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS. Create and maintain pathways between EMR systems to guarantee the seamless and accurate transfer of pertinent patient information, facilitating smooth transitions between systems and preventing data loss. Assign appropriate codes for reimbursement, billing, and compliance purposes. Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to clarify any discrepancies in medical records and ensure proper coding practices. Troubleshoot any issues related to data or USMON system Ensure all coded data is entered accurately into the billing and coding system. Other duties as assigned my Management. Qualifications Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or equivalent Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems Knowledge of healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and compliance standards Experience with EMR systems and data management Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent oral and written communication skills Resourceful, highly dependable, process driven, and detail oriented Join our team as a Certified Medical Coding Specialist to play a crucial role in ensuring accurate healthcare documentation that supports optimal patient outcomes and efficient revenue cycle operations!
Pay:
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
