Work Arrangement:
Approximately 80% Remote Occasional onsite meetings/training required Job Summary Caliber Tech LLC is seeking an experienced Healthcare IT Clinical Analyst / Medical Coding Specialist to support healthcare business processes, medical coding analysis, documentation, and related technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding , healthcare processes, medical terminology, and business process documentation. This position will work closely with healthcare stakeholders, business teams, and project professionals. Responsibilities Support annual and quarterly updates involving ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding changes. Analyze coding changes and evaluate their impact on healthcare processes and systems. Prepare and maintain documentation related to coding and business-rule changes. Work with stakeholders, process owners, and healthcare teams to gather and document requirements. Provide subject matter expertise regarding medical coding and healthcare processes. Research business rules, requirements, and process models. Develop and maintain business requirements, process documentation, and related materials. Collaborate with project teams to ensure documentation remains accurate and current. Support development and maintenance of training materials. Assist with healthcare claims research and escalations when needed. Participate in project meetings and provide clinical and coding expertise. Perform other project-related responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications 3+ years of healthcare industry experience. Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding methodologies . 3+ years of knowledge and experience with anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. 3+ years of experience with formal business process documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with management, project teams, stakeholders, and business users. Strong English communication skills. Required Certification Candidates must currently hold at least one of the following: CPC - Certified Professional Coder CCS - Certified Coding Specialist Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a hospital, physician office, or clinical environment. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Optum Encoder or another medical coding software/tool. Experience with healthcare information systems or healthcare technology projects. Experience with Medicaid or similar healthcare programs. Education A Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience may be considered. Work Arrangement This position is approximately 80% remote with occasional onsite attendance in Columbia, South Carolina for meetings, training, or other project-related activities. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to the Columbia, SC area when onsite attendance is required. Candidates located in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia are preferred. Qualified candidates residing elsewhere in the United States may also be considered based on the onsite travel requirements.
