Days Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00
PM Pay Rate:
$18-$20/hour

Dress Code:
Business Casual Position OverviewTrinity Employment Specialists is seeking an experienced Medical Coder for an approximately 90-day temporary project with a busy medical office. The Medical Coder will review patient charts and provider documentation, analyze medical billing and coding information, and ensure accurate charge entry and coding prior to billing. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a thorough understanding of medical coding guidelines, and experience with hospital surgeries and/or professional Interventional Radiology coding. Key ResponsibilitiesReview patient charts, medical records, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Review and analyze medical billing and coding for hospital surgeries and professional Interventional Radiology reads.

Ensure all assigned codes are current, active, and supported by provider documentation.

Accurately assign and enter appropriate medical codes and charges.

Identify and report missing, incomplete, or insufficient documentation.

Ensure proper coding based on provider documentation and established coding guidelines.

Apply appropriate modifiers when required.

Follow federal and state regulations, payer requirements, and applicable commercial coding guidelines.

Maintain accuracy and compliance throughout the coding process.

Work independently to complete assigned coding projects within established deadlines.

Qualifications & SkillsCPC certification through AAPC required.

Minimum of 2 years of medical coding experience.

Experience with hospital surgery and/or professional Interventional Radiology coding strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and medical coding guidelines.

Understanding of payer requirements and commercial coding practices.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.

Ability to work independently in an office-based environment.
