•Kudzu Staffing is currently seeking a Medical Coder for a full-time opportunity in Columbia, SC. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who can accurately review charges, verify coding, and help ensure claims are processed in a timely manner. Requirements of the Medical Coder Medical coding or medical billing experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures, and insurance claims preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to review charges and identify coding discrepancies Comfortable working with computer-based billing and medical records systems Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to learn new billing and coding processes Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced medical office environment Benefits of the
Medical Coder Starting Pay:
$20.00 per hour
Monday-Thursday:
7:30 AM-4:00
PM Friday:
7:30 AM-12:30 PM Day shift with an early Friday schedule Responsibilities of the Medical Coder Audit chemotherapy charges performed the previous day Verify that the correct medical codes have transferred through the system Make necessary corrections and accurately bill charges Learn to bill charges for laboratory services performed in the office Learn to bill charges for imaging services performed in the office Learn to audit and bill for injections administered in the office Review charges carefully for accuracy and completeness Help ensure claims are processed and submitted promptly, with a goal of getting claims out the following day Maintain accurate and organized
