Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and guidelines by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of ICD coding standards, medical billing practices, and insurance requirements. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation discrepancies and improve coding accuracy for optimal reimbursement. Enter coded data into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently while maintaining confidentiality. Assist in medical record audits, reviews, and quality assurance processes to uphold coding integrity. Support the billing department by providing detailed coded information necessary for accurate medical billing and collections. Qualifications Proven experience in medical coding, with familiarity in ICD-10 coding systems. Strong knowledge of CPT coding procedures along with understanding of DRG classifications. Experience with medical billing, collections, and managing medical records within a healthcare setting. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with medical office workflows. Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and healthcare documentation standards.
