An Emergency Medical Director within emergency medical services is a physician who provides guidance, leadership, oversight and continuous quality improvement (CQI) for the practice of local EMTs and paramedics within a predefined area. Typically board-certified in emergency medicine or pediatric emergency medicine. Generally responsible for either the creation of protocols for treatment by prehospital providers or providing leadership to the group of physicians who assist with the provision of medical oversight depending on which model of service delivery and which model of medical control are operating.

for efficient charting Strong physician support and access to TeamHealth resources, training, and national network Competitive compensation with W2 employment, benefits, and opportunities for career advancement Responsibilities As an advanced practice clinician in the Citizens Baptist ED, you will: Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across a full spectrum of emergency presentations Perform procedures consistent with emergency medicine practice (suturing, splinting, I&D, etc.) Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, nurses, and hospital staff to ensure exceptional patient care Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced community emergency department Qualifications Current NP or PA licensure in Alabama (or ability to obtain) Minimum 2 years of emergency medicine preferred CurrentACLS/BLS
