M.D./D.O. or APRN with specialty in psychiatry, licensed to practice in the state Extensive experience treating individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide consultation and training to all members of the team (clinical team and therapeutic supports) Collaborate with primary treating physicians of individuals supported by START and provide recommendations Consultation to psychiatric hospitals regarding treatment of individuals with IDD and mental health needs and provide recommendations Participate in recurring team meetings as necessary and provide recommendations Provide on-site consultation and treatment as needed for guests receiving resource center services and therapeutic in-home coaching services. Review health needs, complete assessments, provide recommendations and follow up. Participate in monthly CETs including supporting the Clinical Director with training, multidisciplinary assessment, recommendations and treatment planning. Assist with the collection of MEDS assessment data and analyze the data with the assistance of START team members. Participate in regular START network learning opportunities including quarterly Medical Director Practice Group sessions.
