As Medical Director, you'll help shape the future of our hospital while maintaining an active clinical role, mentoring veterinarians, supporting our talented nursing team, and driving exceptional patient care and client service. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in Arizona Active veterinary license in good standing Strong background in companion animal medicine and surgery Experience performing soft tissue surgery and dental extractions Confidence managing urgent care and same-day cases Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passion for mentorship, team development, and medical excellence Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Director, Chief of Staff, Lead Veterinarian, or other veterinary leadership role Experience mentoring early-career veterinarians Interest in hospital growth, culture development, and medical quality initiatives Fear Free, Cat Friendly, or AAHA-related experience Experience developing clinical protocols and advancing standards of care Leadership Traits The ideal candidate is: Collaborative and approachable Solutions-oriented and proactive Passionate about coaching and mentorship Committed to exceptional patient outcomes Adaptable, resilient, and growth-minded Respectful, positive, and team-focused Comfortable leading through influence and example Schedule & Work-Life Balance Flexible 3-4 day work week 10-hour shifts 90-minute lunch breaks

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
