Medical Director / Family Medicine Physician Auburn, CA | Full-Time | Outpatient We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician to serve as Medical Director for a growing community health organization in Auburn, California. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Medicine physician who enjoys providing direct patient care while taking on a meaningful medical leadership, provider development, and clinical operations role . The position offers a strong work-life balance with approximately 2 days of direct patient care and 2.5-3 days of dedicated administrative and Medical Director responsibilities each week.

Approximately 60-90 days; expedited credentialing may be available due to the immediate need Medical Director Responsibilities The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership across the organization's growing medical program and will: Provide direct outpatient Family Medicine care while serving as a clinical leader and role model. Oversee and support clinical leads at the Auburn and Rocklin clinics, with the potential to oversee three clinics as the South Placer location opens. Establish and maintain clinical standards, quality initiatives, and best practices. Mentor, coach, and develop physicians, advanced practice providers, and emerging clinical leaders. Drive clinical quality improvement and process improvement initiatives. Use clinical and operational data to improve patient access, quality, and patient outcomes. Support clinical compliance, credentialing, licensing, scope of practice, and regulatory readiness. Collaborate with executive and operational leadership on the continued growth of the medical program. Partner with other departments to promote integrated, team-based care. Help develop and implement strategies that improve access to care and strengthen clinical operations across multiple locations. Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient Family Medicine. Care for patients across the lifespan — all ages required . Manage routine primary care and chronic medical conditions. Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives. Maintain high standards of patient-centered care. Provide clinical guidance and support to providers and clinical staff. Qualifications MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine Family Medicine required — Internal Medicine candidates will not be considered Active California medical license Minimum 2 years of direct primary care experience Previous leadership experience in a primary care setting Current BLS/CPR certification Current DEA certificate Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and DMV record Compensation & Benefits $325,000-$360,000+ anticipated physician compensation , depending on experience and final structure.
