Description Job Description Emergency Department Medical Director - SAGE Campbell SAGE Campbell is seeking an experienced ER Medical Director to join a busy, well-established hospital where you can make a real impact on patient care and team growth. This role is a great fit for a supportive, hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring others, collaborating with clinicians, and helping the hospital continue to thrive. Your Role As ER Medical Director, you will balance strategic leadership with hands-on clinical care.
You will:
Oversee ER medical standards, protocols, and quality initiatives Partner with the Hospital Director and Specialty Medical Director on operations, recruitment, and long-term planning Guide and support experienced ER doctors while helping to mentor new ER doctors through our ER Immerse mentorship program Drive positive change, support team development, and maintain a collaborative, accountable culture Strengthen relationships with referring veterinarians and the local community Duty split: ~75% clinical/ ~25% administrative 4-day workweek with 3 clinical days and 1 admin day What We're Looking For DVM or equivalent; eligible for California licensure 4+ years of clinical experience in a multi-specialty hospital with 2+ years in a leadership role Strong leadership skills with confidence in change management and addressing complex issues Passion for mentorship, professional development, and medical excellence Solutions-oriented, collaborative, and decisive
