An Emergency Medical Director within emergency medical services is a physician who provides guidance, leadership, oversight and continuous quality improvement (CQI) for the practice of local EMTs and paramedics within a predefined area. Typically board-certified in emergency medicine or pediatric emergency medicine. Generally responsible for either the creation of protocols for treatment by prehospital providers or providing leadership to the group of physicians who assist with the provision of medical oversight depending on which model of service delivery and which model of medical control are operating.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Registered Nurse•RN role in
Fort Walton Beach, FL Qualifications:
What qualifications you will need: 2-3 years of Recent Acute Care ER Manager, Supervisor experience (Charge nurse experience will not qualify) Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; BSN preferred
Additional Information:
336 bed, level II trauma center Emergency Department has 40 beds, plus 2 trauma rooms and 10 behavioral health beds•they can go up to 70 with hallway beds/chairs This facility has a CNO, ACNO, Director Emergency Svcs, and 2 ER Managers (one for days and this one for nights) There are about 100 direct reports split between the two Managers (this manager will only be responsible for his/her night shift staff•scheduling, etc.) Need someone that can manage staffing shortages, interviewing candidates amongst a busy schedule, making smart hiring decisions, overseeing operations, helping to keep staff happy/engaged, etc #INDDP
