Educate patients on the safe use, potential benefits, and possible side effects of medical cannabis products. Authorize and document patient treatment plans in compliance with legal and regulatory standards, ensuring accurate CPT coding and proper documentation in medical records. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across specialties such as pain medicine, psychiatry, neurology, and family medicine to optimize patient care strategies. Maintain thorough knowledge of current laws governing medical cannabis use and ensure all practices adhere to HIPAA privacy standards. Keep detailed records of patient interactions, treatment outcomes, and follow-up plans to support ongoing clinical research and quality assurance initiatives. Experience Medical degree (MD or DO) with active licensure in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Demonstrated familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Dr. Chrono or equivalent platforms for documentation and patient management. Experience working within hospital or outpatient environments that require adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols. Knowledge of healthcare diagnosis procedures across multiple specialties including neurology, psychiatry, cardiology, gastroenterology, dermatology, oncology, pediatrics, and internal medicine.
