This individual will serve as the central healthcare manager and care coordinator for the organization, helping employees navigate their medical care, coordinating with physicians, specialists, laboratories, imaging centers, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers, and developing individualized health and wellness strategies. A U.S. medical license is not required for this position. The ideal candidate may be a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, foreign-trained physician, medical graduate, or other highly experienced healthcare professional with substantial clinical knowledge and care-management experience. Candidates who received their medical training outside the United States and are not currently pursuing U.S. physician licensure are strongly encouraged to apply. We also strongly encourage currently licensed U.S. physicians (MD/DO), Physician Assistants (PA), and Nurse Practitioners (NP) to apply. Active U.S. clinical licensure is considered a valuable qualification, but it is not a prerequisite for consideration. Key Responsibilities Health Program Management & Clinical Coordination Oversee the day-to-day management of the employee healthcare program and help ensure that employees receive timely, coordinated, high-quality care from appropriate medical providers. Personalized Health Strategy Work with employees and their treating healthcare providers to develop individualized health, wellness, prevention, and care-management strategies based on each person's needs and goals. Care Coordination Serve as the central point of contact for medical-related matters, including coordinating appointments, referrals, laboratory testing, imaging, specialist consultations, preventive screenings, and follow-up care. Medical Provider & Vendor Management Identify, evaluate, coordinate, and manage relationships with physicians, specialists, hospitals, laboratories, imaging centers, pharmacies, wellness providers, and other healthcare vendors. Patient Advocacy Help employees understand their healthcare options, prepare for medical appointments, obtain appropriate referrals and second opinions, and communicate effectively with their treating providers. Continuity of Care Track medical recommendations, testing, referrals, and follow-up requirements to help ensure that important healthcare matters are addressed and that care is coordinated across multiple providers. Medical Records & Health Information Management Organize and maintain appropriate health-related documentation, laboratory results, physician recommendations, and medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with applicable privacy requirements. Preventive Health & Wellness Planning Coordinate preventive healthcare initiatives, annual physicals, laboratory testing, screenings, vaccinations, nutrition programs, fitness initiatives, and other wellness programs. Medical Research & Second Opinions Research treatment options, medical specialists, facilities, emerging therapies, and available clinical resources when requested, and assist in coordinating second or specialty medical opinions. Healthcare Budget & Resource Management Manage and monitor the healthcare program budget, evaluate medical expenditures, negotiate with vendors when appropriate, and seek high-quality and cost-effective healthcare solutions. Healthcare Provider Oversight & Communication Maintain ongoing communication with the licensed physicians and healthcare professionals providing direct medical care and help ensure that recommendations, follow-ups, and treatment plans are properly coordinated. Emergency & Urgent Care Coordination Assist employees in determining the appropriate medical resource for urgent situations and coordinate access to appropriate licensed healthcare providers or facilities. Qualifications Preferred Background Candidates should have significant healthcare experience and may come from backgrounds including: Foreign-trained physician or medical graduate Physician Assistant (PA) Nurse Practitioner (NP) Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical care manager Healthcare administrator with significant clinical experience Other comparable medical or healthcare professional Experience Ideally 8-10+ years of healthcare, clinical, or patient-care experience Strong understanding of primary care, preventive medicine, laboratory testing, specialty medicine, and healthcare coordination Experience managing complex patient care or coordinating care among multiple physicians and specialists Experience working with executives, families, private clients, or corporate employee health programs is highly desirable Medical Education A medical degree from the United States or another country is highly desirable, but U.S. physician licensure is not required. Current or previous professional licensure as a PA, NP, RN, physician, or comparable healthcare professional is preferred but will be evaluated based on the candidate's overall education and experience. Board certification is a plus but is not required.
