Sanitas Medical Center is seeking an experienced Regional Medical Director (MD/DO) to provide clinical leadership across our Orlando, Florida market. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physician leader with previous Medical Director experience in a Family Medicine or Primary Care setting who is passionate about clinical excellence, physician leadership, quality outcomes, and value-based care. The Regional Medical Director partners with local Medical Directors, physicians, advanced practice providers, and operational leadership to promote high-quality, patient-centered care and consistent clinical standards across the region. Position Highlights Regional clinical leadership across multiple medical centers Partnership with local Medical Directors, physicians, and operational leaders Opportunity to influence clinical strategy and quality initiatives Value-based care environment focused on prevention, quality, and patient outcomes Leadership and mentorship of physicians and advanced practice providers Opportunity to support physician recruitment, development, and performance Ability to maintain a connection to patient care, as appropriate Opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the Orlando community Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and medical oversight across assigned medical centers Partner with local Medical Directors and center leadership to promote consistent clinical standards and high-quality care Monitor clinical quality, patient outcomes, provider performance, utilization, and productivity Lead and support quality improvement, disease management, population health, and care coordination initiatives Collaborate with health plan partners and organizational leadership to achieve clinical and quality goals Develop and implement clinical policies, guidelines, protocols, and care delivery initiatives Support physician recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and performance management Mentor and provide professional guidance to physicians and advanced practice providers Review quality data, patient feedback, clinical complaints, and adverse events and develop improvement strategies as needed Promote appropriate documentation, care planning, risk adjustment, and coding practices Collaborate with operational and executive leadership on regional goals and strategic initiatives Support compliance with applicable clinical, regulatory, safety, and infection control requirements May provide direct patient care within the appropriate scope of practice Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medical Director in a Primary Care setting Previous Medical Director experience in Family Medicine or Primary Care - required Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or another appropriate primary care specialty Active, unrestricted Florida medical license Experience leading physicians and/or advanced practice providers Experience working with multicultural patient populations Strong understanding of primary care, clinical quality, care coordination, and population health Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills Experience with value-based care, managed care, or risk-based models strongly preferred Spanish proficiency preferred Why Join Sanitas Medical Center?
