Medical Director - Board-Certified Pediatrician Part-Time Independent Contractor | Tampa, Florida Kids of God Center Care PPEC LLC, located at 4702 East Busch Boulevard in Tampa, is preparing for opening and AHCA licensure as a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care center serving children with complex medical needs. We are seeking an experienced, board-certified pediatrician to serve as our part-time Medical Director and provide meaningful clinical governance, regulatory oversight, and quality leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Periodically review clinical services and quality of care. Advise the Administrator and Director of Nursing on clinical policies, protocols, and program development. Participate in quality assurance and other required committees. Review accidents, unusual incidents, and potential health or safety risks. Support the development of emergency-services and physician-coverage procedures. Maintain an effective liaison with attending physicians and the local medical community. Complete periodic onsite visits and remote consultations as defined in the professional services agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted Florida physician license. Current board certification in Pediatrics. Ability to satisfy credentialing and background-screening requirements. Availability for periodic onsite participation in Tampa. Ability to maintain professional liability coverage applicable to the role.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with medically complex children, PPEC, pediatric home health, Medicaid, clinical quality, or medical leadership. English and Spanish proficiency. Established professional presence in the Tampa Bay or Hillsborough County medical community.

Engagement Structure:

Part-time independent contractor position. Initial 12-month professional services agreement. Fixed compensation based on defined responsibilities, time commitment, and fair-market value. Compensation will not be tied to referrals, admissions, patient volume, or Medicaid revenue.
