Job Description

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Medical Director - Behavioral Health Services to join our growing behavioral health team. This is an In-patient position.
Position Highlights:
Primary inpatient, Outpatient, and Facility Consult Oversight and Coverage Serve as Medical Director for Behavioral Health Services at Piedmont Macon Expected schedule: 5 days (Mon- Fri), assist with weekend and night call as needed Required to supervise mid-levels (APP's) Opportunities to pick up additional shifts for consults via telehealth and/or in-person across the Piedmont system Supervision of medical students and psychiatry residents
Epic EMR Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry Active or eligible for medical licensure in Georgia Experience supervising APP's is preferred Strong clinical, administrative, and physician leadership skills Previous experience with ketamine and TMS preferred Experience treating both adults and adolescents preferred Three (3) years of experience required
