An Emergency Medical Director within emergency medical services is a physician who provides guidance, leadership, oversight and continuous quality improvement (CQI) for the practice of local EMTs and paramedics within a predefined area. Typically board-certified in emergency medicine or pediatric emergency medicine. Generally responsible for either the creation of protocols for treatment by prehospital providers or providing leadership to the group of physicians who assist with the provision of medical oversight depending on which model of service delivery and which model of medical control are operating.

Olympia Fields, IL Responsibilities Maintains responsibility to sit with and observe the patient and his/her surrounding environment to promote safety and prevent possible injuries. The One to One Patient Observer assists the Registered Nurse in non-nursing tasks within the scope of training and experience. Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

High School diploma or equivalent. Previous healthcare experience preferred. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current. Pay Transparency Olympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $18.28. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
