Medical Director (82174) Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

We are currently seeking a full-time Site Medical Director for clinical services provided to the Maryland incarcerated population at Eastern Correctional Institution - Hagerstown (ECI) in Westover, Maryland.$25K Sign-on BonusThe Site Medical Director, under the supervision of the Regional Medical Director, provides the following:
  • Clinical direction needed and direct patient care to meet the service delivery requirements of assigned site
  • Supervision and evaluation of medical services for pre-trial or incarcerated populations.
  • Clinical supervision for medical staff.
  • Chair or participation in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement, Infection Control and Pharmacy and Therapeutics.
  • Interfacing with agency clinical and administrative leadership on issues related to medical services.
  • Close collaboration with onsite providers and nursing staff in the provision of healthcare services to pre-trial and incarcerated populationsSome of the unique benefits of correctional healthcare include:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
  • Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
  • Board certification/eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
  • Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to pass credentialing and background check
