This is a rare opportunity to serve in a leadership capacity while providing day hospitalist care to patients.
Local Team Collaboration:
We take pride in our well-established team of 16 Physicians and 6 APPs. Work alongside highly trained specialists across the continuum of specialties.
Qualifications:
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Two years of hospitalist experience required. Leadership acumen evidenced by examples displayed in your current position. We proudly sponsor H1B visa candidates and provide in-house visa specialists, licensing, and credentialing support. All required filing fees for visas are covered by Sound.
Scheduling:
Days 7 am-7 pm - 7 on - 7 off.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
Serve as content expert in representing the hospitalist team at monthly meetings with operations and/or hospital leadership. Serve as medical director if the medical director is on PTO or unavailable. Serve as the team lead for day-to-day questions.
Hospitalist Duties:
Manage admissions, especially during morning hours, round on patients, and manage rapid responses for own patients. Open ICU with minimal expectation of our team - full critical care support. No procedures or code blue response required. Living and working in Lake St.
Louis:
Suburban living in Lake St Louis - one of the fastest-growing communities in all of Missouri. The hospital is located on the lake and provides the opportunity to be a part of new growth and development: new residential communities, new schools, new shopping stores, or you can be just a few minutes from rural living. If you prefer to be closer to St Louis, that is an option too - and it is still an easy commute. Louis Lampert International Airport offers easy access to international travel and is located approximately 30 minutes from the hospital. The St. Louis metro area offers excellent school options, including public, private, and parochial schools. Some of the nation's best universities are found here, including Washington University, St. Louis University, and the University of Missouri. If you enjoy sports or the outdoors, you will find it here. St. Louis is home to the MLB Cardinals, MLS STL City, and the NHL's St. Louis Blues. You will also find ample golf courses, walking and biking trails, and water activities.
Rewards and Compensation:
The compensation package includes clinical shift pay, a leadership stipend, and incentive bonus opportunities. Productivity and quality incentives are offered in addition to the base salary.
