Our program is at the forefront of pediatric hepatology, offering comprehensive care for children with both transplant and non-transplant liver diseases. Our multidisciplinary team consists of medical and surgical specialists that includes advanced pediatric biliary endoscopy, pediatric and liver pathologists, pediatric and interventional radiology, nursing, and social work to ensure that each child receives personalized, top-notch care.The ideal candidate would have:

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition includes 16 full time faculty members as well as an ACGME approved Fellowship program. The Division includes a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, surgeons, advance practice nurses, dieticians and social worker. Expertise in IBD, Pediatric Hepatology, intestinal rehabilitation, nutrition disorders, a comprehensive aerodigestive program and advanced biliary endoscopy are among other well-developed programs fully supported by a multi-specialty, cohesive team approach. There is a long-standing clinical research program that now includes three research coordinators. Cohen Children's Medical Center opened in 1983 as the New York metropolitan area's only hospital designed exclusively for children. Today, it is the largest pediatric teaching hospital in the region, with over 750,000 visits annually and serving 1.8 million children in Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. It is the tertiary pediatric medical center of the Northwell Health System and the only Level-1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Nassau and Queens.
