SummaryOversees all credentialing and privileging functions to ensure that physicians and advanced practice providers, among others, are qualified, compliant, and fully authorized to deliver care. Serves as the primary liaison between medical staff leadership, hospital administration, and regulatory bodies. Ensures operational excellence, legal compliance, and timely processing of all credentialing and enrollment activities while fostering a culture of transparency, accuracy, and service.
Job DutiesLead and manage the MSO, including implementation of policy, procedure, and workflows aligned with accreditation standards (e.g. Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS, state regulations) Oversee primary source verification (PSV), application processing, and escalation pathways that ensures accurate and timely appointments, both initial and reaccreditation Maintain credentialing software, databases, and dashboards to ensure data integrity and real-time reporting Coordinate Medical Executive Committee (MEC), Credentials Committee, and other governance meetings, including agenda preparation, documentation, and follow up Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics for credentialing and enrollment processesMinimum QualificationsMaster's Degree in Healthcare or Business 10 years Management experience in a hospital setting 5 years Credentialing experience andAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization in both the written and oral format. Ability to incorporate continuous quality improvement principles into all activities/operations. Must possess interpersonal and liaison skills essential for working with all employees.
