Job Description
Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Northeast (GBN) is seeking an innovative and mission-driven Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead clinical strategy, physician engagement, and quality initiatives across a growing behavioral health organization. - Provide executive leadership for a 92-bed behavioral health hospital
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of 7 psychiatrists and advanced practice providers
- Drive clinical excellence, quality improvement, and physician engagement initiatives
- Help advance innovative care models across inpatient and outpatient services
- Support a growing Psychiatry Residency Program currently training 3 residents annually, with planned expansion to 5 residents per year
- Maintain a clinical practice while serving in a key executive leadership role Qualifications
- MD or DO with completed Psychiatry residency
- Board Certified in Psychiatry
- Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure and DEA
- Minimum 7 years of post-training clinical experience
- Prior physician leadership experience in an inpatient, acute care, or health system setting
