$300,000-$312,000 Position Summary A Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Pottsville, PA is seeking a board-certified Physician Director / Primary Care Physician to provide clinical leadership and direct patient care for an adult patient population. This role combines medical oversight responsibilities with outpatient primary care services, supporting quality outcomes, patient safety, care coordination, and a team-based healthcare model. Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership Provide physician leadership and oversight of clinical operations. Promote quality, safety, and continuity of care. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams. Review clinical, quality, access, and performance metrics and support improvement initiatives. Assist with compliance, credentialing, and clinical standards. Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and clinical audit activities. Support effective care coordination and patient access to services. Identify and escalate patient safety or quality concerns as appropriate. Primary Care Services Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care. Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans and preventive care strategies. Order and interpret laboratory testing, diagnostic studies, and other evaluations. Prescribe medications and coordinate specialty referrals. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records documentation. Deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Minimum Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license. Current DEA registration, if applicable. Current prescriptive authority. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain prior to start. Experience providing outpatient primary care services. Strong knowledge of chronic disease management, preventive medicine, and care coordination. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous Medical Director, Physician Director, or clinical leadership experience. Experience working in community-based outpatient clinics. Experience serving Veteran populations. Familiarity with team-based primary care models. Experience with quality improvement, peer review, utilization review, or performance improvement initiatives. Experience supporting telehealth or virtual care services.
