Lead the future of comprehensive wound care at Guthrie.
Guthrie Medical Group is seeking an experienced, clinically engaged Physician Medical Director of Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to provide physician leadership and strategic direction for our comprehensive wound care and hyperbaric medicine program in Pennsylvania.
This is an opportunity for a physician who wants to combine meaningful clinical practice with program leadership. The Medical Director will help shape clinical standards, advance multidisciplinary care, develop referral relationships, mentor providers, and drive continued growth of wound care and hyperbaric services across the region.
Highlights of the OpportunityServe as the physician leader and clinical authority for Guthrie's wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy programCombine direct patient care with meaningful physician leadership and program development responsibilitiesEvaluate and manage patients with acute, chronic, complex, and non-healing wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure injuries, venous and arterial wounds, surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, and radiation tissue injuryProvide physician oversight of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, including patient selection, treatment protocols, medical supervision, safety, emergency preparedness, and quality assuranceLead the development and maintenance of evidence-based clinical standards, treatment pathways, policies, and protocolsCollaborate closely with vascular surgery, podiatry, infectious disease, orthopedics, endocrinology, primary care, nursing, hyperbaric technicians, and other specialties in the management of complex patientsParticipate in multidisciplinary case review and coordinated care for patients requiring advanced wound managementUse clinical outcomes, quality measures, patient experience, and utilization data to identify opportunities for improvement and program developmentHelp expand awareness and appropriate utilization of wound care and hyperbaric services throughout Guthrie's service areaDevelop strong referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, surgeons, specialists, and community providersRecruit, mentor, educate, and support physicians and advanced practice providers participating in the wound care programPlay an active role in quality improvement, patient safety, credentialing, privileging, peer review, and regulatory readinessCandidate RequirementsUnwavering commitment to our mission of improving health through clinical excellence and compassion;
