Part-Time Medical Director (24 hrs /week + On-Call Stipend) - Scranton, PA | Armor Health Looking for a leadership role without full-time burnout? Armor Health has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Medical Director to lead our clinical team at Lackawanna County Prison in Scranton, PA Why This Role Great outcomes start with great people. As the Medical Director, you'll guide a small, dedicated team providing high-quality medical care to an underserved population. You'll have the professional autonomy of independent practice with the support and structure of a mission-driven healthcare organization. What You'll Do Provide and oversee medical diagnosis, treatment, procedures, and care for patients in a correctional facility Manage direct medical patient care and maintain accurate medical records and charts Direct, coordinate, and supervise clinical services provided by professional staff Review and approve treatment protocols, clinical policies, and procedures Provide in-service training for the clinical team and ensure best-practice standards Schedule & Compensation 24 hours per week
On-Call Stipend:
$250 per week W-2 employment with a supportive, mission-oriented organization This position offers a consistent, predictable schedule ideal for a physician seeking balance — whether complementing another role, transitioning toward retirement, or maintaining clinical engagement in a flexible capacity. Requirements Active PA medical license (MD/DO) Board Certified or Board Eligible DEA license Current CPR certification Supervisory experience in correctional or public health care preferred Proficiency with electronic medical records Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance (background and drug screen) Who We Are At Armor Health, we're raising the standard of care and improving health outcomes for those in correctional settings.
