Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Handyman to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure that all systems operate smoothly, repairs are completed efficiently, and the environment remains welcoming and well-kept. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation. Conduct repairs using skills in welding, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical adjustments, adhering to safety standards. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and facility diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Manage facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and general upkeep. Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults or system inefficiencies. Supervise or assist with small projects, coordinating with vendors or contractors when specialized skills or permits are required. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or tenant concerns promptly and professionally. Lead or support team efforts in maintaining a safe work environment through adherence to safety protocols and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential building upkeep. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams effectively. Skilled in welding, electrical work, plumbing repairs, and general handyman tasks. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical troubleshooting tools like ohmmeters. Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for supporting team initiatives or small projects. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely.
