The County of Washington Behavioral Health & Developmental Services Department is seeking applicants for the position of Mental Health Program Director•Crisis, Emergency & Disaster Services. The starting salary for the position is $64,695.43 with a generous benefits package, including family health insurance, retirement contribution, and wellness benefits/activities for both employees and their families, paid time off (vacation and sick) and employee assistance program (EAP). The position is 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday and will require work outside of normal scheduled hours due to meetings, trainings or other administrative need. The position is of both an administrative and supervisory nature and involves behavioral health program analysis, coordination and implementation of Crisis/Emergency, Disaster, Forensic and Inpatient behavioral health services within Washington County. The position directs behavioral health Crisis, Emergency and Disaster Services and develops and implements contractual expectations as it pertains to those services, as well as, directs inpatient hospitalization Mental Health Delegate duties and responsibilities in accordance with all laws and regulations. In addition, the position represents the BHDS Program at meetings with agency advisory boards, community organizations, task forces, committees, ad hoc community groups and federal, state and county officials as it pertains to behavioral crisis, emergency and disaster planning. In addition to supervising departmental staff, the position is responsible for serving as a member of the Washington County SWAT Team to represent and respond to SWAT call in order to assist with the mental health support needed on site. The position requires one (1) year as a County Mental Health Program Specialist 2; OR five (5) years of professional level experience in the field of mental health, including three (3) years of administrative, supervisory, or consultative work; and a bachelor's degree; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
