Job Description
Tower Health is a regional integrated healthcare system that offers compassionate, high-quality, leading-edge healthcare and wellness services to communities in Berks, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. Tower Health has partnered with Drexel University College of Medicine to open a new medical school one-half mile walking distance from Reading Hospital, a regional medical campus for Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health . The medical school opened in 2021 and can support student body of 200 students. This is your chance to join a well-established practice and guide future growth! The Medical Director will partner with our Practice Administrator, and 2 other wound care specialist Providers (1 Physician, 1 APP), along with 3 seasoned Wound Care Certified Nurses and Hyperbaric Safety Director. You will also have the opportunity to teach Residents and Medical Students when they do clinical rotations through the site. Our patient volume continues to grow, since opening in July 2007. Typical wound care and HBO cases treated are: cancer, diabetic, osteomyelitis and pressure ulcers. In addition to the nursing staff, we have a Hyperbaric Safety Director. The site has 2 fully equipped Sechrist Monoplace chambers. The ideal candidate will have experience with wound care and hyperbaric medicine. BC/BE in Undersea Hyperbaric Medicine and/or Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) is a requirement within 6-10 months of hire.https:
