  • Provide medical leadership for the facility; oversee all medical services; develop and implement medical care policies, procedures and standards; and provide direct clinical care as an Attending Physician for a panel of residents
  • Implement and oversee medical and therapeutic programs for residents, ensuring the delivery of quality health care services while also ensuring compliance with clinical, statutory and regulatory standards
  • Direct and conduct teaching activities with medical/clinical school affiliations and other appropriate teaching organizations
  • Significant interaction with both Administration and other department heads, especially the Director of Nursing Minimum QualificationsPossession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State and six years of post-licensure medical practice experience, two years of which must have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Board certification in Geriatric Medicine and/or Certification as a Medical Director (AMDA), and experience in a long-term care facility.
