Seeking Chief Medical Officer (CMO) ! Position Summary The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) serves as the senior physician executive for HV Global Services and provides strategic clinical leadership, medical oversight, and governance across the organization's Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Aviation Medicine/Pilot Physicals, Telemedicine, EMS, and related operations. The CMO is responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of clinical practice, developing evidence-based programs and protocols, ensuring regulatory and professional compliance, advancing quality and patient safety, and supporting the organization's strategic growth. The CMO serves as the organization's senior medical advisor to executive leadership, clients, and clinical personnel and plays a key role in developing innovative healthcare solutions that improve patient outcomes, promote workplace health and safety, reduce avoidable healthcare utilization, and create sustainable business opportunities. The CMO will balance clinical excellence with operational effectiveness, ensuring that clinical services are delivered consistently, efficiently, ethically, and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, professional standards, and evidence-based medical practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical & Occupational Medicine Leadership Provide executive medical oversight for Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Aviation Medicine, Telemedicine, and other clinical services. Establish and maintain evidence-based clinical standards, treatment protocols, clinical pathways, and standard operating procedures. Develop clinical strategies that emphasize appropriate on-site assessment and treatment, early intervention, continuity of care, and appropriate utilization of emergency and specialty services. Provide administrative and operational consultation regarding complex occupational injuries and illnesses, including coordination of care, communication regarding work status, and support for return-to-work processes, in collaboration with the patient's treating or authorized provider. Provide clinical guidance regarding the evaluation and management of work-related and non-work-related medical conditions when such services are provided through an approved HV Global Services program. Establish mechanisms for clinical consultation, escalation, peer review, and physician availability across geographically dispersed operations. Monitor clinical performance and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, patient experience, and clinical outcomes. Aviation Medicine & Pilot Physicals Provide medical leadership and oversight for HV Global Services' pilot physical and Aviation Medicine services. Oversee the development and implementation of clinical processes for pilot medical examinations, medical certification evaluations, documentation, follow-up, and referral. Ensure aviation medical services are performed in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, standards, policies, and certification requirements. Establish appropriate clinical protocols for identifying medical conditions that may affect aviation safety and determining when additional evaluation, testing, consultation, or referral is appropriate. Maintain appropriate documentation, confidentiality, reporting, and record-retention practices associated with aviation medical examinations. Develop and expand Aviation Medicine services as a strategic clinical service line, including opportunities to support commercial, corporate, industrial, and other aviation-related clients. Monitor regulatory and industry developments affecting Aviation Medicine and incorporate applicable changes into clinical practice and organizational procedures. Bridge GAP Program Provide physician leadership for the development, implementation, and ongoing oversight of the HV Bridge GAP Program. Integrate Occupational Medicine and Family Medicine capabilities to provide appropriate continuity of care for employees working at remote, industrial, or megasite locations. Establish clinical criteria and protocols for evaluating medical conditions determined to be non-work-related and determining when temporary medical support through the program is appropriate. Develop guidelines for providing limited-duration personal medical care, including care coordination, appropriate follow-up, referral, and transition to a long-term primary care provider. Establish appropriate safeguards to distinguish occupational health services from personal healthcare and ensure services are provided within applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and professional requirements. Monitor utilization, patient outcomes, continuity of care, client satisfaction, and program effectiveness. EMS & Clinical Operations Partner with the EMS Medical Director and clinical leadership to establish and maintain protocols for occupational injuries, emergency response, clinical escalation, and patient disposition. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures addressing occupational injuries, emergency response, incident command, stabilization, escalation, transport, and physician consultation. Provide medical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, and other clinical personnel. Establish clinical competency standards and performance expectations for clinical staff. Support the development of consistent clinical practices across remote, field, industrial, and clinic-based environments. Participate in clinical case review, quality assurance, peer review, and root-cause analysis when appropriate. Telemedicine Leadership Provide executive medical oversight of nationwide telemedicine services, subject to applicable state licensure and practice requirements. Ensure telemedicine services are delivered in accordance with applicable state medical practice acts, telehealth requirements, payer requirements, privacy regulations, and professional standards. Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to nurses and advanced practice providers within applicable state scope-of-practice and supervision requirements. Establish telemedicine clinical protocols, escalation criteria, documentation standards, quality measures, and patient safety processes. Evaluate opportunities to expand telemedicine capabilities and integrate virtual care with occupational, family, and workplace health services. Medical Review Officer (MRO) Program Provide physician leadership for the development, oversight, and strategic growth of the HV Global Services Medical Review Officer program. Ensure MRO operations comply with applicable federal and state requirements, including applicable DOT and SAMHSA regulations and guidelines. Establish policies, procedures, quality standards, and documentation requirements for MRO services. Maintain appropriate MRO credentials and certifications required to perform assigned responsibilities. Develop scalable processes and technology solutions to improve MRO service delivery, turnaround times, quality, and client experience. Identify opportunities to expand MRO services and integrate them with the organization's broader occupational health and workforce health offerings. Clinical Informatics & EMR Development Partner with Information Technology and operational leadership to develop and continuously enhance an enterprise clinical information and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform designed to support Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Aviation Medicine, Telemedicine, EMS, and related clinical operations. Establish clinical documentation standards and workflows that support high-quality care, regulatory compliance, interoperability, and efficient clinical operations. Develop and implement clinical decision-support tools, standardized templates, reporting dashboards, analytics, and workflow automation. Utilize clinical data to identify trends, monitor outcomes, improve utilization, and support evidence-based decision-making. Ensure technology development appropriately addresses patient privacy, information security, clinical usability, and applicable healthcare regulations. Safety & Workplace Health Collaboration Partner with the HV Safety Division to strengthen workplace injury prevention, first aid, emergency preparedness, and occupational health programs. Establish medical standards and protocols for workplace first aid, injury response, escalation, and medical referral. Develop training programs and competency standards for safety professionals and other personnel responsible for workplace first aid or initial medical response. Promote integration between clinical and safety teams to identify trends, reduce workplace injuries, improve early intervention, and strengthen overall client health and safety performance. Serve as a medical subject matter expert in the development of client-specific workplace health and safety programs. Clinical Education, Development & Leadership Recruit, develop, mentor, and evaluate physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, and other clinical personnel. Establish clinical competency standards, orientation requirements, continuing education expectations, and professional development programs. Promote evidence-based practice, clinical accountability, ethical decision-making, and patient-centered care. Establish mechanisms for ongoing clinical education, case review, knowledge sharing, and professional development. Foster a culture of clinical excellence, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop succession planning and leadership development strategies for key clinical positions. Business Development & Strategic Growth Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to identify, evaluate, and develop new clinical service lines and revenue opportunities. Provide medical expertise in the development of new products, services, client solutions, and strategic partnerships. Support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and organizational growth initiatives. Evaluate market opportunities in Occupational Medicine, Aviation Medicine, Telemedicine, Family Medicine, EMS, MRO, and related healthcare services. Represent HV Global Services at industry conferences, professional organizations, client meetings, and other external forums. Serve as the senior physician advisor to executive leadership and key corporate clients. Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, medical organizations, regulatory bodies, clients, and strategic partners. Support sales and business development efforts by providing clinical expertise, participating in client presentations, and communicating the value proposition of HV Global Services' clinical services. Regulatory Compliance, Quality & Risk Management Ensure clinical operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, contractual requirements, and accreditation standards. Provide medical leadership regarding applicable requirements under OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, DOT, Workers' Compensation laws, state medical practice acts, telemedicine regulations, and other applicable healthcare requirements. Establish and oversee clinical quality assurance, peer review, utilization review, risk management, and continuous quality improvement programs. Monitor clinical incidents, adverse events, complaints, and identified risks and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented. Establish clinical metrics and dashboards to measure quality, safety, utilization, patient outcomes, and operational performance. Maintain appropriate clinical governance structures, including policies for credentialing, privileging, peer review, clinical escalation, and medical quality oversight. Partner with legal and compliance leadership regarding emerging regulatory issues and clinical risk.
