Job Summary We are a new start-up infusion clinic. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director - Physician to lead our clinical operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. This pivotal role combines medical expertise, leadership, and strategic oversight to foster a high-quality healthcare environment. The Medical Director will oversee clinical practices, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Provide expert medical leadership by developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical policies aligned with healthcare standards and organizational goals Oversee the management of electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulations Lead clinical research initiatives to advance medical knowledge, improve patient outcomes, and support evidence-based practices Supervise registered nurses (RN) to promote best practices in patient care and practice management Ensure adherence to FDA regulations, NCQA standards, and healthcare compliance requirements across all clinical activities Coordinate with hospital administration on quality improvement projects, utilization management, and healthcare management strategies Monitor medical records for accuracy and completeness while maintaining high standards of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology knowledge Provide teaching and mentorship to medical staff and trainees to support academic leadership and professional development Ensure all clinical activities comply with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations, HIPAA privacy rules, and other legal requirements Skills Prior experience with infusions/ knowledge of infusion therapy. (Preferred) Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems management including electronic health records (EHR) management tools Strong background in clinical research, medical development, and healthcare compliance standards such as NCQA guidelines Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously within a healthcare setting Deep knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and treatment protocols as a practicing physician Skilled in supervising teams of healthcare professionals while fostering collaborative environments Excellent understanding of managed care principles, practice management strategies, and healthcare administration Leadership experience in academic or executive roles within healthcare organizations or hospitals Familiarity with FDA regulations related to pharmaceuticals and medical devices as well as DEA regulations for controlled substances Ability to effectively communicate complex medical information clearly to diverse audiences including staff, patients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders Strong organizational skills with experience in budgeting, resource planning, and compliance management This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated physician leader eager to influence the future of healthcare delivery through innovative practices and dedicated team leadership.
