The Program Director will manage program operations, collaborate with faculty and clinical partners, and ensure the delivery of high-quality education that prepares students for successful careers in diagnostic sonography. Duties Provide strategic leadership for the diagnostic medical sonography program, including curriculum design, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts. Oversee program accreditation processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards set by relevant accrediting bodies. Manage program budgets, allocate resources effectively, and oversee grant proposal writing to secure funding for program development and research initiatives. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members while fostering a positive academic environment that promotes professional growth. Develop partnerships with clinical sites, hospitals, and community organizations to enhance student clinical experiences and employment opportunities. Coordinate university-wide initiatives related to education administration, research projects, and community outreach efforts. Support student success through academic advising, working with students on career planning, and facilitating engaging teaching methods suited for higher education settings. Requirements Proven experience in project management, budgeting, and administrative leadership within an educational or healthcare setting. Strong background in teaching diagnostic medical sonography or related health sciences disciplines; prior university teaching experience is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, research activities, grant proposal writing, and higher education administration. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering collaboration among faculty, staff, students, and external partners. Experience in recruiting faculty or students and working directly with diverse populations of learners. Excellent written communication skills necessary for grant writing, reports, academic publications, and institutional documentation. Knowledge of accreditation standards for health sciences programs and familiarity with research methodologies relevant to medical imaging education.
