Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Psychiatrist / Medical Director to lead our Community Behavioral Health programs, including the Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse (CABHA) services and Community Support Team (CST). Duties Provide medical leadership and consultation regarding behavioral health service delivery, medical necessity, clinical risk, and coordination of care. Consult with clinical staff regarding complex psychiatric presentations, co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions, medication-related concerns, and other cases requiring physician-level input. Review and/or sign service orders and other clinical documentation when physician authorization is required and sufficient clinical information has been provided. Participate in review of significant clinical incidents, hospitalizations, adverse trends, high-risk cases, and quality or safety concerns when physician consultation is appropriate. Assist with the development, review, and revision of clinical policies, procedures, protocols, quality-improvement initiatives, and risk-management practices. Support coordination and referral relationships with psychiatric providers, primary care providers, hospitals, pharmacies, crisis providers, and other specialty providers. Participate in approximately one leadership or clinical-governance meeting per month and staff consultation at least quarterly, as required within the agreed scope. Provide reasonable review of complete non-emergency consultation and documentation requests, generally within 24-48 business hours. Support CABHA certification, accreditation, payer, credentialing, audit, and compliance activities requiring Medical Director involvement. Maintain confidentiality and comply with

Part 2 when applicable, NC Medicaid requirements, payer requirements, professional standards, and North Carolina law. Requirements Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with an active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license. Psychiatric training and experience appropriate to the behavioral health Medical Director role. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) and ability to meet Medicaid, payer, credentialing, and exclusion-screening requirements. Must complete required NCTracks affiliation/linkage with Kapital Connections, LLC within 14 calendar days of the effective contractual date. Must provide all required credentialing and onboarding documentation, including current license, NPI, W-9/contractor information, and Certificate of Insurance. Must maintain individual professional liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 annual aggregate , subject to commercially reasonable availability. Ability to exercise independent medical judgment and identify when documentation, treatment, or requested physician authorization is clinically unsupported or outside the physician's scope. Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry; post-residency experience is strongly preferred. Valid medical license in the state of practice; DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
