An Emergency Medical Director within emergency medical services is a physician who provides guidance, leadership, oversight and continuous quality improvement (CQI) for the practice of local EMTs and paramedics within a predefined area. Typically board-certified in emergency medicine or pediatric emergency medicine. Generally responsible for either the creation of protocols for treatment by prehospital providers or providing leadership to the group of physicians who assist with the provision of medical oversight depending on which model of service delivery and which model of medical control are operating.

Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level. Job Summary Your role as Nursing Supervisor involves supervising healthcare professionals and ensuring high patient care levels. Maintain a safe environment and nurture nursing practice to improve patient outcomes. Oversee operations, productivity, and resource distribution to meet department priorities. Essential Functions of the Role This role will work one clinical shift per pay period and serve as the Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC). Coordinating emergency department education, scheduling simulations and competency activities, supporting regulatory readiness, and performing various supervisory and leadership duties. Working closely with members from different professional fields to ensure coordinated patient care. Assessing how effective the nursing practices are and infusing practices and research discoveries that are evidence-based. Fostering a caring and outcome-promoting environment. Encouraging development and opening up growth opportunities for staff members. Efficiently managing resources to promote safety within the healthcare system. Key Success Factors A solid understanding of nursing standards and patient care procedures. Superb communication abilities and expertise in creating and assessing patient care plans. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
  • Associate's Degree Must have a min. of 2 yr. high acuity hospital ED/ER experience MAJOR
  • Nursing
EXPERIENCE
  • (2) Two Years of Experience
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
