$330,000 - $360,000 per year Job Details - We are currently on the lookout for a seasoned Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join our dynamic team in the health and safety industry. This is a permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to combine your passion for healthcare and safety with your leadership skills. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading our medical team to safeguard the health of our employees.
Responsibilities:
As our Chief Medical Officer, you will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities that are crucial to our operations and our employees' well-being.
These include:
1. Overseeing the overall medical direction of our company within the health and safety industry. 2. Developing, implementing, and reviewing health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. 3. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and standards. 4. Leading and managing our medical team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 5. Conducting regular health and safety audits, identifying potential risks and implementing preventative measures. 6. Collaborating with other departments to integrate health and safety measures into their operations. 7. Providing health and safety training to staff to ensure they understand and comply with company policies and procedures. 8. Responding to health emergencies, coordinating medical care, and liaising with external healthcare providers as needed. 9. Keeping abreast of advancements in occupational health and safety, incorporating best practices into our operations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong background in healthcare and leadership, with a deep understanding of health and safety regulations.
Specific qualifications include:
1. A medical degree from an accredited institution. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a medical director or equivalent, preferably within a start-up environment. 3. Proven experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures. 4. In-depth knowledge of health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices. 5. Strong leadership and team management skills. 6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to health and safety. 7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex health and safety information to a diverse audience. 8. Registered Operational Medical Director is a plus.
