An Emergency Medical Director within emergency medical services is a physician who provides guidance, leadership, oversight and continuous quality improvement (CQI) for the practice of local EMTs and paramedics within a predefined area. Typically board-certified in emergency medicine or pediatric emergency medicine. Generally responsible for either the creation of protocols for treatment by prehospital providers or providing leadership to the group of physicians who assist with the provision of medical oversight depending on which model of service delivery and which model of medical control are operating.

- Trophy Club is seeking a Director of PeriOperative Services to join our team! Director of PeriOperative Services at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center
Trophy Club:
Under the supervision of the director, the manager is responsible for the director with operational issues related to coordination of patient care, development of employees, utilization of resources, and performance improvement thereby achieving an environment of excellence in clinical quality, safety and service by supporting the hospital mission, vision and facility goals. The manager helps identify cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department. The manager maintains compliance with professional nursing, TJC and all federal/state standards of care. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees and vendors. The manager works with Senior Leadership in meeting facility goals. The manager helps to oversee the Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Op and PACU departments as delegated by the director; functions as a staff nurse and/or charge nurse, as necessaryQualifications Education/License:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred Current Texas RN License CurrentBLS & ACLS
upon hire, must getPALS/ENPC
within 30 days of hire Specific Job Experience Minimum five (5) years' experience as a RN in a critical care hospital unit Minimum two (2) years' experience as a RN in any peri-operative area Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient Excellent teaching skills Experience with Electronic Healthcare Records Why Choose Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Trophy Club?
