Job Description:
The Junior Medical Physicist assists in the treatment planning and MU calculations for external beam therapy in conjunction with and under the direction of Qualified Medical Physicists (QMPs). Assists in brachytherapy planning and calculations and source loading. Consults with physicians, physicists, and therapists for simulations. May Perform measurements as requested and consult with physicians concerning results. Assists physicists with chart reviews and equipment quality control. Generates accurate charge capture for dosimetry/physics procedures. Works during non-traditional clinic hours as needed to assure equipment has met the QA requirements of the QMP. Assists physicists with annual and monthly QA. Responsible for assisting in the implementation of new technology.
