POSITION SUMMARY

Provides radiation treatment plans in accordance with radiation oncologists' prescriptions under the direction of the physicist. Performs calculations and reviews radiation treatment plans with the radiation oncologist

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education Completion of an Associates or Bachelors in Dosimetry or Physics or formalized on the job training program. Minimum Experience 2 to 3 years of experience working in radiation dosimetry Required Registration/License/Certification BLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer Eligible for Medical Dosimetrist Certification and must become board certified within 2 years of hire. Preferred Education Master's or Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in the physical or biological sciences or is a Registered Radiation Therapist. Preferred Experience 5 years of experience performing dosimetry under the supervision of a Certified Medical Dosimetrist or Medical Physicist. Preferred Registration/License/Certification Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or obtain certification within 2 years after DOH Other Requirements N/A
