About the
Role:
Join the Military Health Research Foundation as a Medical Dosimetrist at Nellis Air Force Base, NV. In this pivotal role, you'll contribute to cutting-edge research and patient care, ensuring precise treatment planning in radiation therapy.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with radiation oncologists to develop and implement optimal treatment plans. Utilize advanced software to calculate radiation doses and ensure accurate delivery. Conduct quality assurance checks on treatment plans and equipment. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment plans. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and students. Stay updated on advancements in dosimetry techniques and technologies. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols in radiation therapy.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Dosimetry or related field. Certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) preferred. Experience in a clinical radiation oncology setting. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficient in treatment planning software and radiation therapy technologies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams. Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
