Job Description

Description:
Advocate Radiation Oncology is a group of various Radiation Therapy offices located across South Florida. This is an opportunity for a Dosimetrist to join a team of experienced staff working at a state of the art facility using technology in a collaborative work environment. This position will include use of 3D, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRT, SGRT, and HDR treatments. It is expected that this position will perform timely, accurate radiation planning for the purposes of delivering prescribed therapeutic doses of high energy radiation treatments using linear accelerators, HDR after loaders and seed calculations. This position will be fully remote but with preference for candidates near our West Coast Florida offices (Lakewood Ranch, Wellen Park, Bradenton). All of the offices have new Varian machines / TrueBeam, Halcyon, Bravos HDR), ARIA Record & Verify System, and Eclipse Treatment Planning System.
Responsibilities:
Manage all requests for treatment planning processes in a professional and timely manner that ensures high quality outcomes including rapid access to treatment by way of the highest quality plans Support all innovation, clinical trials, and research opportunities to improving outcomes for all patients Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to prioritize and manage time in a demanding environment Support the dosimetry network by completing treatment plans as required Maintain licensure, undertake mandatory and professional development to practice safely in accordance with all professional and regulatory requirements Communicate all aspects to physician for plan approval, and to RTT the plan implementation

Qualifications/Requirements:
Board Certified in Medical Dosimetry from the MDCB Florida RTT license preferred 5+ years of experience as medical dosimetrist 5+ years as a licensed radiation therapist preferred Highly efficient in basic computer and typing skills Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Experience with 3D, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRT, SGRT, and HDR treatments Working knowledge of radiation safety and correct use of immobilization devices and other treatment variables Travel when required to meetings and/or coverage to other offices as needed
