On target earnings are between $140,000•$175,000+ About AquaCrossings AquaCrossings provides compassionate pet aftercare services for veterinary hospitals, pet families, and the animals they love. We specialize in aquamation, a gentle water-based alternative to flame cremation, along with memorial and aftercare services designed to support families during one of life's most difficult moments. Our mission is to bring more dignity, transparency, and care to the pet aftercare experience while supporting veterinary teams with responsive, professional, and compassionate service. As AquaCrossings continues to grow across Arizona, we are looking for a relationship-driven Director of Veterinary Partnerships to help expand our clinic relationships and introduce more veterinary teams to a better aftercare experience. Position Overview The Director of Veterinary Partnerships will be responsible for building new relationships with veterinary clinics, emergency hospitals, specialty hospitals, mobile veterinarians, and other pet care partners throughout Arizona. This is a field-based sales and relationship role. The right person will be comfortable prospecting, making outbound calls, walking into clinics, hosting lunch-and-learns, scheduling facility tours, and closing new veterinary partnerships. This is not a high-pressure transactional sales role. Pet aftercare is personal, emotional, and trust-based. Success in this position requires persistence, organization, emotional intelligence, and the ability to communicate with veterinary teams in a way that is professional, thoughtful, and respectful. This role will report directly to ownership and will work closely with operations, customer service, and marketing to ensure new clinic partners are onboarded smoothly and receive an excellent experience. Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development Identify and pursue new veterinary clinic partnerships throughout Arizona. Build a strong pipeline of general practice clinics, emergency hospitals, specialty hospitals, mobile veterinarians, shelters, rescues, and other pet care organizations. Manage the full sales process from prospecting and outreach through clinic meetings, follow-up, onboarding, and account activation. Schedule and lead clinic visits, lunch-and-learns, introductory meetings, and facility tours. Educate veterinary teams on AquaCrossings' services, including aquamation, private aftercare, communal aftercare, memorial options, pickup and delivery logistics, turnaround times, and family support. Learn each clinic's current aftercare process, pricing, current provider, pain points, and decision-making structure. Close new accounts that become active, recurring AquaCrossings partners. Veterinary Relationship Management Serve as the face of AquaCrossings to veterinary clinics and pet care partners. Build trust with practice managers, medical directors, CSRs, technicians, doctors, and ownership groups. Maintain regular communication with current and prospective clinic partners. Provide in-person support, printed materials, service updates, pricing information, and education as needed. Help clinics feel confident discussing aquamation and aftercare options with pet families. Work with the AquaCrossings team to resolve clinic questions or concerns quickly and professionally. Market Development Monitor competitor activity, pricing, service offerings, and market changes. Maintain notes on current aftercare providers used by clinics in the territory. Identify opportunities for AquaCrossings to win new accounts based on service quality, responsiveness, environmental responsibility, transparency, and clinic/family experience. Share clinic feedback with ownership and operations to help improve the company's service offering. Represent AquaCrossings at veterinary events, conferences, community events, and other relationship-building opportunities. CRM and Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate records of prospects, contacts, meetings, follow-ups, account status, current provider, pricing notes, and next steps in the company CRM or tracking system. Prepare regular sales activity updates for ownership. Manage the territory efficiently and prioritize high-value opportunities. Submit expense reports and travel records as required. Maintain current knowledge of AquaCrossings' services, pricing, operations, and competitive differentiators. What Success Looks Like A successful fit will actively and proactively move potential clients from first touch to loyal clients through engagement, education, and relationship building. Day-to-day, that means: Prospecting new veterinary clinics and pet care partners across Arizona, in person and by phone. Running clinic meetings, lunch-and-learns, and facility tours that educate teams on aquamation and the AquaCrossings experience. Following up consistently, turning warm conversations into onboarded, recurring partners. Listening to clinic feedback and bringing market intelligence back to ownership and operations. Showing up in the veterinary community at events, conferences, and informal touchpoints, representing AquaCrossings with professionalism, warmth, and integrity. Driving meaningful new revenue through high-quality, trust-based clinic partnerships. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, outside sales, account management, veterinary services, healthcare, pet care, funeral services, hospice, or another relationship-based service industry. Experience selling to veterinary clinics, healthcare providers, or small businesses is preferred. Comfortable making outbound calls, walking into clinics, and initiating conversations with new prospects. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to earn trust over time. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High emotional intelligence and comfort discussing sensitive topics related to pet loss, euthanasia, and aftercare. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage many accounts and follow-ups at once. Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable working independently in the field. Proficiency with CRM software and Google Workspace. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Ability to travel throughout Arizona as needed.
